Mail di introduzione all'incontro internazionale

Dear students,
Whether you are studying in Aarhus, Amsterdam, Milan, elsewhere in Italy or even in Brussels, you have all registered for the Local Big Histories course that is jointly taught together by several European universities. The first joint class of this course, during which you, amongst other things, you will meet the students of the group you will be working with over the next few weeks, will start this Friday. For this class, we would like to ask you to do three things.
First and most importantly: you will have to prepare your own version of a local history that you can present to your group members. You should have received or will receive further instructions on how to do that from your local professor.
Secondly, it would be very helpful if you could send us the rough subject you have in mind for that local history (that you will use throughout the class as a basis for constructing a local big history) as soon as possible, so we can divide you up in groups of students whose local (big) histories will complement each other in the best possible ways.
Thirdly, we would like you to join this Google classroom, that can be accessed by students from all universities and that can be used to work together.
Further instructions on how to use this classroom will be provided on Friday. For now, the most important information in this Google classroom is the Zoom link for Friday's class, which is https://uva-live.zoom.us/j/91665383321.
We are all excited about this class and very much looking forward to seeing you there!
Best wishes, also on behalf of Olga Garcia Moreno, Giovanni Grieco and Jacob Wamberg,
Esther Quaedackers
